Conservation
One
of the most important things for any work of art is conservation.
Conservation
is a broad range of techniques involving in the preservation of artwork and antiques.
In practice, conservation encompasses these explicit functions: preventing or
retarding deterioration, and the stabilization of the enviroment surrounding the
object through preventive measures. The
conservation technique we use, wax infusion, was developed in Europe early in
this century and has been accepted worldwide as the safest and most effective
technique for oil paintings previously exposed to excess moisture and/or heat. By
minimizing the effects of deteriorating agents such as extreme humidity, pollutants,
pests, temperature, and improper handling, we
can preserve our treasures for generations to come. Schedule
a consultation with us to discuss the best methods for conserving your antiques
or works of art.
